We cut customer acquisition costs and simultaneously increase targeted traffic for all of our clients. How do we do this? By generating the right keyword/bid combinations, and tracking everything that happens with them. The initial results will be the most dramatic, but our ongoing management, keyword generation and refinement will mean that we keep saving you money. The key is getting the planning right up front, micromanaging the results, and feeding back what we have learned into our keyword management software. This is a job for serious analysts with experience.
You talk about your great methods and technology, so what are they?
The first thing we do is find out what you are currently doing, benchmark it, and set measurements for success. In detail we examine:
- Your Web Site Marketing Strategy: What is your online marketing strategy? What is your profit margin per sale of each product? What is your current cost of acquisition?
- Search Visibility Assessment. We examine your website's current search engine and directory visibility. This analysis includes paid-for and organic listings across all the engines and directories. We also take a very careful look the visibility of your competitors.
- Conversion analysis. If you already have tracking tools in place, we examine the conversion rate data in as much detail as you have it - vs search engine, individual ad or listing etc.
- Historical Log File Data Review. We review and analyze at least three months of historical log file data (the more the better) to understand better your current and previous search engine/directory referrals, keyword effectiveness (or underperformance) as well as overall site traffic.
Once this background work is complete we focus on the analysis required to develop a campaign.
- Keyword List Targeting: We work with you to generate a list of primary, secondary and tertiary keywords, and advise you on which should be targeted using PPC advertising, and which using organic optimisation. This will depend on many factors including the cost of paid advertising, the competitive landscape, and seasonal variation in your sales model. If you already have a keyword list in use, great, data is king.
- Engine Targeting: Each search engine has it's particular characteristics in terms of the type of user. We take your campaign objectives into account to optimise for the best visibility across the engines for the type of traffic you require.
Once the above has been completed the campaign plan will depend, for the most part on budget and the campaign management rules that we agree. It's then down to implementation.
